Baiqonyr International Short Film Festival presented the official poster

Baiqonyr International Short Film Festival presented its 5th official poster. In 2020, the film festival will be held from 2 to 6 September. The screening is organized by the Public Foundation Turkic Film Fund.

This year BISFF consists of 5 programmes:

• Main contest (international short film contest)
• National contest (live-action, documentary, animated short films)
• Special music video contest of the Turkic peoples (for music video makers)
• Script pitching
• Master classes, workshops and round tables

Quarantine is a great opportunity to complete a project and submit it to Baiqonyr. To participate in BISFF, you must fill out an electronic form on the official website of THE film festival. Applications start on April 16.

In the framework of the V Baiqonyr International Short Film Festival will also host Pitching projects. Filmmakers of Kazakhstan who are not older than 35 years are invited to participate. Scripts are accepted in the Kazakh and Russian languages. More information about Pitching is available here.

Let us recall that the winner in the “Best film” category of the IV BISFF international contest was the short film “Goodbye” by Karash Zhanyshov from Kyrgyzstan. The Grand Prix of the national contest was taken by Amir Amenov's film “Cold Summer Night”.
