The official poster of the IV Baiqonyr International Short Film Festival is presented
The official poster of the IV Baiqonyr International Short Film Festival is presented.
The poster is based on a shot from the winner of last year's Baiqonyr Film Festival “Goodbye, my friend” (“Қош бол, Досым”) by Timur Serdalin, a graduate of the Kazakh National Academy of Arts named after Temirbek Zhurgenov. The Director, according to the tradition of the film festival, will also be a member of the jury of the 4th BISFF.
At the III Baiqonyr Film Festival, the short film “Goodbye, my Friend” won three categories at once: The Grand Prix, Best Director and Best Script. A year earlier, at the Zhaik Film Fest, the film took prizes in two categories: “Audience Award” and “Best Cinema operator”.
The plot of the film tells about two friends riding in a car. One of his comrades is mortally wounded, therefore, asks the second to bury him, and donate a share of the deal to the mosque. When a guy dies, then his friend, by all means, decides to fulfill his promise.
Scriptwriter Timur Serdalin, Zhanibek Murtazin, Yerkebulan Balgabay, cinematographer Yerkebulan Balgabay and sound designer Malika Belamanova also worked on the creation of the film “Goodbye, my Friend”. Roles were performed by Zhanibek Murtazin and Timur Serdalin.
The Baiqonyr International Short Film Festival will be held from September 4 to 8, this year.
