In the first part of the discussion about the Jury of the Baiqonyr Republican Film Festival, we commented on the identities of two directors Akhat Ibrayev and Sharipa Urazbayeva. Today we will talk about two craft professionals, producer Anar Kashaganova and scriptwriter, director Elya Gilman.

The II Baiqonyr Republican Short Film Festival is held with the support of the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy.

Anar Kashaganova - Honored Worker of Cinema and Producer. Anar Ekeevna began her career at the economics department of the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography, which she successfully graduated in 1975. Luck favored her - almost immediately after graduation, Anar took the post of senior administrator of the Kazakhfilm film studio, which in those years was considered the largest creative association. And in 2007, she became the head of the film studio. The producer was known to the Kazakhstan audience for her work on such projects as “Night Blues” and “Vocal Parallels”. Currently, Anar Kashaganova heads the Debut Creative and Production Association.

Over her entire career in cinema, Elya Gilman managed to establish herself not only as a talented producer, but also as a script writer, director and actress. Elya finished school in 1992, when the country was in ruin. Therefore, the girl chose a specialty not answering the call of the heart, but at the behest of her parents. After graduating from an economic institute, Elya only at the age of 27 decided to try her luck and entered the Kazakh National Academy of Arts named after Temirbek Zhurgenov. Since then, the director managed to make a huge number of works, including “Classmates”, “My Heart – Astana”, “Surprise” and “Troubadour”. Elya admits that she is a freelancer. And only if the project interests her, she will undertake its implementation.
